Statement of Function
The Indian River County Recreation Department provides, operates and publicizes recreational programs and facilities for the use of County residents and visitors of all age groups. It also provides trained, certified water safety personnel at County beaches and aquatic facilities. Funding for the various programs and administrative costs come solely from the County’s M.S.T.U. fund. This department accounts for the cost of programs directed at residents living in the unincorporated areas of the County.

News and Upcoming Events

The Indian River County Intergenerational Recreation Center, scheduled to open in Summer 2016, is a 37,000 sq ft multi-purpose sports facility located in south Indian River County which will house the Recreation Department offices and host a multitude of sports and events. Stay tuned! Larger View
Dancing on the Deck to the Golden Oldies
The Indian River County Recreation Department will proudly be presenting a live vocal performance of "The Dolls" with Jerry the singing DJ at the North County Aquatic Center located at 9450 CR 512 Sebastian, Fl on Friday, February 19, 2016.
Daddy Daughter Dance
February 27th, 2016. The Indian River County Recreation Department is offering a chance for girls to take their dads out on a date. Your Department of Fun invites fathers and their little girls to 15th Annual Daddy Daughter Dance. The cost is $32.10 per couple, which includes food. Additional children are $5.35 per person. The event is for children ages 3-9.
Spring Coed Youth Baseball Registration
Registration for Indian River County Recreation Baseball will begin on Saturday, Jan. 23rd at the Oslo Middle School. Practices will begin in late March, early April, and games will begin in April.
Football Officials Needed
The Indian River County Recreation Department is looking for Youth Football Officials for the 2015 Fall Season. Officials must have general understanding of High school football rules and have an interest in the game. Must be available to work Mondays thru Thursday, and Saturday mornings.   • Water Aerobics/ Fitness
  • Yoga
  • Zumba (land and or water)
  • Swim coach for a Masters program
